Why Schools Need Reporting Tools

To deter bullying in school and on school buses.

To help students who are subjected to covert bullying.

To prevent embarrassing students who report problems.

To assist staff in implementing a school wide tool to help with the daily monitoring of school climate.

To give students an alternative way to take control of a situation instead of resorting to violent outbursts.

Reporting helps to decrease the number of students who repeat bullying behavior.  Reporting helps to decrease the number of bullying incidents an individual student may experience throughout the school day.

REPORTING IS NOT A CURE-ALL.  IT IS A PART OF A COMPREHENSIVE BULLYING PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION PROGRAM.
